Help me please, I am having problems with my period.?

I am 19 and i haven't had a period for about 3 years. I have been to the doctor for the past 2 and half years but they keep ignoring my problem. My doctor put me on this hormone medicin for 10 days that caused me to have a period, but it also caused me to have menopause symptoms!!! I became ually active this past summer but im not pregnant [already checked :-)] I am scheduled to go to an OBGYN in about a week but i would like to know what you think. So what you think the problem is???????
