When will this Iraqi war end?

It's been over for some five years now. Iraq is an ally. If you mean when will the Iraqi government be capable of sustaining its sovereignty, that is entirely up to them. Progress is being made and troop amounts will fall substantially in months (unless Obama wins - then the newly energized Al-Qaeda in Iraq invaders will destabilize the situation and US troop strengths will increase. Do you really want hundreds of thousands of Iraqi deaths being caused by a too early withdrawal?
