I am asking this question because alot of McCain supporters dislike Obama's stance on the war in Iraq and his troop pullout plans. I ask them, when is the victory in this war actually accomplished? How many more billions and billions and dollars have to be spent and more soldiers have to die before this "victory" occurs? We have invaded this country (which was not responsible for 9/11 at all), Saddam Hussien and his sons are dead, and we STILL have not found those weapons of m destruction yet. So, where are the weapons?, why are we even still over there trying to build up a country which frankly doesnt' even want us there anymore while our own country is falling apart financially and so many hurting people are over here? Does this really reflect John McCains campaigne slogan "Putting the Country First" I want to know?

PLEASE HELP!!!30 Weeks pregnant, severe abdominal pain presumably gallbladder. Any Advice?

I am 30 weeks pregnant. I told my obgyn over a month ago that I was having severe abdominal pain under my right rib. She told me it was likely my gallbladder and to adjust my diet and follow up in 30 days. Well my pain had actually gotten worse after I changed my diet. I ended up in the urgent care where as much of an abdominal ultrasound that could be performed was. After 8 hours and a ton of blood samples accidentally from my artery none the less they were inconclusive as to where my pain was coming from because they had limited vision from my daugheters positioning. They did how ever find some "good sized" kidney stones. Now, I know that is not the pain I am suffering from, although I am anticipation the page of those suckers any day now. I have increased my fluid intake to over 2 gallons of cranberry and water a day. Try that for a week then talk to me about being uncomfortable... The doctor did not eliminate gallbladder disease, he said I needed to see a specialist and have a more complete ultrasound performed. Little did I know, a urologist wont come near me because of my pregnancy. I am in unbelievable amounts of pain. I was told the baby is more than fine and as long as I can tolerate the pain under my ribs I will be ok. Well guess what. I cant take it anymore!!! It hurts all the time! Im scared to stretch because it kills me, I cant eat because I have no room and it causes sharp burning pains. Im scared its going to rupture. Is there anyone who knows what I can do? I appreciate consolation but I need some serious advice!!!

Well...no. I honestly think that Bronte's and Poe's books have much more meaning than the books we have currently. I'm not saying that our current books are trash. Don't stress, and don't do what you feel uncomfortable about doing. This is very cliche, and I usually hate the saying, but it applies here, when the time is right, it will feel right. Statistically speaking a lot of girls have for the first time against their will, and it causes a lot of the same problems and inhibitions about that you seem to be experiencing. Sick Betta Fish help?

I have had my female Betta for several months. I have her in a one gallon bowl and feed her several times a week a Betta blend by Tetra. I change her water weekly and use a water cleanser every time. About two or three weeks ago she started disappearing into her castle and stays there for two or three days. She is refusing to eat, and when I have seen her out she only comes up for a little air, spending most of her time on the bottom or under her castle. She is in an active room with windows nearby. She seems a little bloated, but nothing excessive, she has not changed color, her eyes are normal, there is no fin rot or scale problems. She does have a little trail of white stuff like a thread coming from her underside, I'm not sure what it is (doesn't look like poo). She just seems depressed, help :(

When I get up and walk, if I start talking, I lose breath fast coz I still have congested lungs. I get dizzy from it too. My job involves a lot of walking and working in a freezer. Normally, I'd just not call off, but the problem is, I might not have developed pneumonia had I called off the first few days I had some symptoms (but thought it was asthma.) I called off yesterday, and slept most of yesterday, thinking I'd just have "walking pneumonia" today. It didn't work. After playing some home games with friends and sharpening my skills online, I decided to check out a poker Tournament. When I played with friends "at home", there was alot of betting that took place, and maybe a few people went in the whole night. From playing online I could easily see the flop with just the minimum bet and making a good hand half the time to bet at the river if things worked out. This could either be a weird glitch in your game, so your game might be corrupted. Or it didn't save right. If you remember it saving right, and you didn't go battle anyone in the survival area yesterday, it is probably a glitch. If this keeps happening, the saved file you have could disappear. Check the DS game slot for dust and dirt and the DS game. If nothings wrong with that, your game is just messed up. The only way I know of now to do is get a new game. But, I'll try and check back for other ways if I find any. Hope this helps at all.

Well said! I've noticed the same thought patterns around the issue of reproductive rights, with the "financial abortion" idea. We should be encouraging women to take responsibility for their choices rather than allowing men to walk away from theirs as well. To me, equality is combined with other human rights, like freedom from violence and a better standard of living. Our other rights shouldn't be compromised because of equality, they should be enhanced. This is partly the reason I'm not a feminist; equality is great if it benefits us, but not if it's simply for the sake of being equal.

Getting you nails done?

I've never had an infection from getting my nails done. The nail salons have always told me that I need to keep my nails clean and push my cuticles back to prevent infections. I'm getting mine done for my wedding and honeymoon, but they will most likely be my real nails just shaped and painted. Grow your nails and then take them to the salon to have the shaped and painted. They can work wonders on anyone's nails and they look real because they ARE real!

I am a straight A student, I rank 15th out of 850 students, I am treasurer of NHS, and I am involved with many other community service projects and organizations. I have been involved with athletics for all four years of highschool as well, and I was named first-team academic all state for volleyball. I scored a 31 composite on my ACT and a perfect score on the English section; however, I did not do as well on my SATs and I did not retake them because I scored so well on the ACT. I am from Indiana and Georgetown does not receive many applications from my state each year and I am studying politics which not many kids in IN study . Actually most bars aren't too expensive, there's a lot of competition in Bangkok. Some of the hotel bars and trendy nightclubs can be expensive though. An average bottle of beer will cost 90-100 baht, a mixed drink will be somehwere around 120 baht at many places. A lot of the pubs will have happy hours and specials like 2 for 1 on certain nights. There's a local bar near where I live in Bangkok that sells 630 ml. (large) local beer for 55 baht, but that's about as cheap as you'll find. Imported beer can be expensive, but Thai beer is pretty good and well priced. Cheers.

You went through a difficult time - that is obvious. You may have been really afraid of what was happening to you medically (anyone would be!). When people are afraid and feel out of contol, they don't act like themselves. Unfortunately, you can't force her to be with you or like you. What I would suggest is that you do let her know how afraid you were (if you haven't already), and that made you act differently. Continue to be nice to her and get out with other friends so that you don't isolate yourself. It sounds as if you are a bit depressed, and even if you don't feel like it, getting out and doing things really helps. If the feeling doesn't go away with a bit of time, then counseling may be just what you need. Remember, you have been through a lot, and you need time to get back to being yourself. Seeing a doctor about depression can help, too. I wish you luck, and hang in there!

Problem with my little sister...Am I really embarring her?

She's in 7th grade and I'm a senior. we go to the same school. The other day I saw her in the cafeteria with some of her friends. I was in a rush to get to cl but I wanted to get a bottle of gatorade for practice (after school). I was in line and so was she. she was ahead of me. When she went to pay I saw she didn't have enough cash to cover the expenses of her lunch, I cut the line and went to her and told the register lady to add my gatorade to the bill and remove the skittles. I then paid for my sister and me and left for cl. When I was waiting for her in my car after practice to drive her home, she walked right p my car. I yelled at her out of the window and said "hey, kiddo, I'm here." She responded "I know" and walked away. I drove home and she was taken home by her friends mom. Later that night I asked her why she didn't come home with me. She said that I embarr her and she can't wait until I'm at college so she doesn't have to see me. Then she slammed her door! I never really talk to her at school, its a mutual agreement to act as if we are not related at school so she won't interrupt my conversations with my friends and vice versa. I just don't understand how I could have embarred her! I mean she should be thanking me for paying for her! Not having enough money to pay for lunch is way more embarring than having your older brother pay for you! Okay well now that I just read that maybe not, but still, why would she say she doesn't want to see me. Maybe I'm just being sensitive cause I'm overtired and stressed but I think she is taking this to far. Later that evening I called my big bro to discuss this with him. She is pretty tight with him since he's really nice to her most of the time whereas I'm not the nicest brother to her...but I know I should be nicer but its really hard. Weaning baby off of night bottles? Bottle addiction? Sorry re-asking....?

My baby is soon to be 11 months old and she still wakes up multiple times at night for a bottle. I don't think it has as much to do with her being hungry as it does her sleep addiction to the bottle and I really want to get her completely off bottles shortly after she turns 1. I started bad habits with her. She will only go to sleep with a bottle of milk. I know it's bad for her teeth but it's the only way she will go to sleep without hours of screaming. She will even lay and suck on the bottle once its empty until she falls asleep. She took herself off the pacifier months ago but I think she just replaced it with a bottle. Last night she woke up at 2:30am and I made her a 6oz bottle then again at 6am and I made her a 5 oz bottle. She went back to sleep until 8:30 this morning. She eats tons of baby food and table food these days so I just don't know what to do to get her off those night bottles. Any advice? Thanks.

I'm having problems with sleep?

For the past 5 or 6 days I had incredible difficulty falling asleep. I've recently changed my bedtime hour, but I had this problem several times in the past without doing any changes to my sleep hours. What happens is that I lay in bed for 4 or even 5 hours without falling asleep. I thought this problem would go away, but it seems like it's harder than I thought. My mind simply stays very active after I put myself in bed. I can feel that I'm extremely tired, but my mind will simply not go to sleep. I'm stuck somewhere between being awake and sleeping, and I lose notion of time. For example, I decide to wake up so I can drink some water, thinking I've only laid for 2 hours but when I look at the clock it's 5 in the morning. It's horrifying. Now I get up at around 11 A.M, and my sleep hours are really messed up. I don't feel as rested as I used to be in my normal sleep. What can I do to sleep again? I tried everything: drinking milk, bathing before bedtime, listening to relaxing music, ventilating my room, nothing worked. I know I have to rebuild my biological clock and get used to sleeping and waking up at the same hours every day, but I must first manage to actually fall asleep. Is there anything I can do? Counting sheep or reading makes my mind even more active. I also tried not thinking at all (which seems impossible) or visualizing animals having wrong colors in order to keep both my brain hemispheres occupied, but nothing worked. What can I do? I don't suffer from any stress and I'm far from having big worries. I really don't want to suffer during daytime because of my nights.

Hi I have a female mouse who is quite old (approx. 2years) and although she is still in good health, over the last 2 months she has lost 6g in weight bringing her from 32g to 26g. I was wondering what I could feed her to help her put on some weight as she does seem to be a bit too skinny at the moment. I cannot give her to many seeds as she has a seed intolerance and develops hot spots, and bald patches because of them. Probably buying a new house with wooden floors and a fenced yard so that they could safely spend more time outdoors. Other than that, there isn't a grooming tool, toy, collar or leash that we don't own. They're flush with hunting accessories, too: neoprene vests, canvas chest protectors, e-collars, etc. The little one has steps to help her get up into the bed, and the big ones have memory foam dog beds. We, too, upgraded to leather on our last vehicle purchase, to make it easier to clean up after the dogs.

I'm trying to replace the rear leaf spring shackles on a 95 chevy c/k1500. But I can't get the bolts out. I've tried PB blaster, turning them and hitting them as much as possible with what little swing I can get with a hammer in there, and I've tried pressing them out with a C-clamp.
