How common is a septate hymen?

Your not a freak. I dont know any statistics so I wont lie to you. However I do have a griend who was i nthe same situation and had the surgery (only way to correct if you wish to) and she has had no issues since. Either way you should be alright. Just becareful, as stated before ripping it will be painful/cutting and could cause bleeding issues.
